Job Description
LivePerson is seeking a Release Manager II to manage the end-to-end release lifecycle for its software applications and services. The Release Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality deployments, improve processes, and minimize risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to deliver reliable, customer-focused releases that align with business goals and minimize disruptions across environments.Role involves:
- Developing and managing detailed release plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Customer Care, Engineering, and QA) for seamless execution.
- Identifying risks, dependencies, and challenges early, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Defining and maintaining best practices for release management, including automation and process improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational standards throughout the release lifecycle.
- Serving as the focal point for all release-related communications.
- Providing regular updates on release status, risks, and post-release performance to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with QA to ensure thorough testing, manage escaping bugs resolution and oversee final validations.
- Managing deployment processes to ensure minimal downtime and customer impact.
- Facilitating post-release validation, gathering stakeholder feedback, and conduct retrospectives for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4-5 years experience in project management, release management or related roles.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Smartsheet, Monday.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and teamwork skills.
