Rocket Lab is seeking an Employee Relations and Compliance Manager to join their People & Culture team. This role is based onsite at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA. The Employee Relations and Compliance Manager will lead a team of HR professionals, supporting Rocket Lab’s commitment to a positive workplace and regulatory compliance.What this role involves:
  • Developing and implementing employee relations strategies.
  • Providing expert advice on workplace issues.
  • Conducting and overseeing investigations into workplace misconduct.
  • Collaborating on employee performance issues.
  • Monitoring employee relations trends and metrics.
  • Developing and delivering training programs.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employee concerns.
  • Assisting in employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate records of employee relations cases.
  • Partnering on projects to enhance employee experience.
  • Evaluating internal compliance and suggesting improvements.
  • Developing and executing new compliance policies.
  • Applying for compliance certifications.
  • Maintaining a compliance recordkeeping system.
  • Maintaining communication with compliance regulators.
  • Working with Legal Counsel to review and update policy changes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or human resources management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in compliance management.
  • Proven experience handling conflict resolution and conducting investigations.
  • Exceptional ability to formulate written compliance policies and deliver training.
  • Consistent track record of managing compliance-related reporting and audits.
