Rocket Lab is seeking an Employee Relations and Compliance Manager to join their People & Culture team. This role is based onsite at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA. The Employee Relations and Compliance Manager will lead a team of HR professionals, supporting Rocket Lab’s commitment to a positive workplace and regulatory compliance.
What this role involves: - Developing and implementing employee relations strategies.
- Providing expert advice on workplace issues.
- Conducting and overseeing investigations into workplace misconduct.
- Collaborating on employee performance issues.
- Monitoring employee relations trends and metrics.
- Developing and delivering training programs.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for employee concerns.
- Assisting in employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate records of employee relations cases.
- Partnering on projects to enhance employee experience.
- Evaluating internal compliance and suggesting improvements.
- Developing and executing new compliance policies.
- Applying for compliance certifications.
- Maintaining a compliance recordkeeping system.
- Maintaining communication with compliance regulators.
- Working with Legal Counsel to review and update policy changes.
Requirements: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or human resources management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in compliance management.
- Proven experience handling conflict resolution and conducting investigations.
- Exceptional ability to formulate written compliance policies and deliver training.
- Consistent track record of managing compliance-related reporting and audits.
