Machine Learning Engineer - Personalisation

Job Description

Cleo is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in London. Cleo is a fast-growing fintech company aiming to revolutionize people's relationship with money and provide intelligent financial advice. The Machine Learning Engineer will work within a team of engineers to integrate machine learning across various products and deploy them for millions of users.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of solutions for real-world problems, such as creating chatbots for financial coaching, developing classifiers for transaction data, and optimizing transactions within the payments platform. This role involves working with state-of-the-art techniques for recommendation, message campaign optimization, and contextual bandits. The Machine Learning Engineer will also be responsible for communicating successes and learnings within the company.

Role involves:

• Training and fine-tuning models for chatbot and app personalization
• Deploying models into production environments using Cleo's in-house ML platform
• Integrating LLMs hosted by OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, and AWS
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user financial health

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or related roles
• Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
• Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production, familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools is a plus
