Senior Data Engineer (SQL, Python, Java) - Banking

Job Description

Capco Poland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join an international team working for a major global bank. The successful candidate will contribute to an innovative platform focused on capital markets, leveraging data and analytics to drive automated decision-making and smart automation across the business lifecycle. This role offers the chance to explore new technologies like gen AI and clouds.

Role Involves:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Implementing data models and schemas.
• Optimizing data processing and storage solutions.
• Ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Providing data for analysis and modeling.
• Staying current with emerging technologies.
• Providing Production L3 support as required.

Requirements:

• 8+ years' experience as a data engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java and/or other programming languages.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, OLAP tools, vector stores.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing frameworks.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and experience with data pipeline tools and metadata stores.
• Understanding of data and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data validation, and data security best practices.
• Experience in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.
• Good communication skills in English.
