Rocket Lab, a global leader in launch and space systems, is seeking a Senior Development Technician in Auckland, New Zealand. The Space Systems Propulsion team is responsible for developing and delivering qualified, flight-ready space vehicle propulsion systems. This role involves collaborating with engineers to build and test hardware, including prototypes, tooling, test rigs, and flight parts.

Role Involves:

  • Collaborating with engineers on hardware construction and testing.
  • Working on prototypes, tooling, test rigs, and flight parts.
  • Addressing problems and projects independently.
  • Supporting production and performing repetitive tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and technical curiosity.
  • Industry experience and NZQCF Level 6 trade certificate in Engineering, fitting and turning, welding, or electrical and instrumentation, or equivalent.
  • Machining, welding, electrical, or mechanical assembly experience and aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
