Principal Machine Learning Engineer - Personalisation at Cleo

Cleo, a fast-growing unicorn focused on changing humanity's relationship with money, is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer. The role involves leading technical work within a team of engineers to train and integrate machine learning across various products, deploying them for millions of users.

Role responsibilities include:

• Training and fine-tuning models for deeper personalisation.
• Deploying models into production environments using Cleo's ML platform.
• Integrating models with LLMs hosted by OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, and AWS.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to improve users’ financial health.
• Driving the adoption of state-of-the-art techniques for recommendation and message campaign optimisation.
• Communicating team successes and learnings.
• Developing a holistic view of personalisation across Cleo.
• Supporting ML Engineers around problem framing, ML modeling, and evaluation.

Requirements:

• Experience in industry machine learning roles as a technical leader.
• Excellent knowledge of Data Science (Python, SQL) and production tools.
• A deep understanding of probability and statistics fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Industry-leading contributions to the field.
