Job Description
Axon is seeking a Director, Chief of Staff (CoS) to support the CAO, which spans across commercial operations, commercial controllership, NPI, accounting and finance operations, M&A and strategic partnership due diligence and integration, Tax and Corporate Audit. This role is a hybrid function, dedicating time to the CoS role and special projects supporting CAO transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the CAO leadership team, ensuring alignment of priorities and efficient operations.Axon is looking for someone who will:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CAO
- Facilitate effective decision-making
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives
- Analyze financial and operational data
- Collaborate with key business partners
- Drive engagement, communication, and team-building efforts
- Prepare internal communications, presentations, and dashboards
- Coordinate finance leadership meetings
Requirements for the role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, with exposure to controllership functions
- Prior experience in FP&A, consulting, M&A or business partnership role is highly desirable
- Proven track record of building, pioneering, and implementing new processes with a hands-on approach
- Strong project management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills with robust cross-functional experience
- Resourceful in data mining, with strong modeling skills to uncover insights and drive informed decision-making
- Ability to translate complex financial and accounting concepts into simple communication
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks with precision and professionalism
