Job Description
Axon is seeking a Director, Chief of Staff (CoS) to support the CAO. This role is a hybrid function, dedicating time to the CoS role and special projects supporting CAO transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with a finance or accounting background who thrives in fast-paced environments.
What this role involves:
- Serving as a strategic partner to the CAO.
- Facilitating effective decision-making.
- Leading special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Analyzing financial and operational data.
- Collaborating with key business partners.
- Monitoring goals, KPIs, reporting timelines, and compliance milestones.
- Driving engagement, communication, and team-building efforts.
- Supporting talent development, succession planning, and hiring efforts.
- Preparing internal communications, presentations, and dashboards.
- Coordinating finance leadership meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, with exposure to controllership functions.
- Prior experience in FP&A, consulting, M&A or business partnership role is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of building, pioneering, and implementing new processes with a hands-on approach.
- Strong project management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills with robust cross-functional experience.
- Resourceful in data mining, with strong modeling skills to uncover insights and drive informed decision-making.
- Ability to translate complex financial and accounting concepts into simple communication.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks with precision and professionalism.
