Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their collaborative team in London. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure accurate revenue and cost of goods sold reporting. The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a lead role in the monthly financial close, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations. They will also ensure SOX controls are performed and documented, review automated revenue allocations, and liaise with external auditors.
What this role involves:
- Playing a lead role in the monthly financial close.
- Preparing manual journal entries and balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations.
- Ensuring all SOX controls are performed and appropriate documentation is maintained.
- Performing reviews of automated revenue allocations.
- Liaising with external auditors.
- Managing the application of internal controls.
- Collaborating with various teams.
- Managing revenue team projects and process improvements.
- Reviewing the accounting for customer contracts.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP principles and financial statements, including ASC 606.
- Experience with the application of ASC 606 topics.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent.
- 7-10 years of related accounting experience in a SOX-compliant environment.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, RevStream, D365, and Sigma software is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
- Flexibility to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload.
