Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their collaborative team. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure accurate revenue and cost of goods sold. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting and will be based near one of Axon's US Hubs.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing a deep understanding of the company’s order-to-cash cycle.
  • Having end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Performing monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures.
  • Partnering with the information technology department to build robust reporting.
  • Performing reviews over automated revenue allocations.
  • Working closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatments.
  • Managing internal stakeholder expectations through monitoring and reporting key metrics.
  • Performing manual revenue allocations, modifications, and prospective modification analysis.
  • Redesigning work and helping business partners.
  • Performing key SOX internal controls.
  • Preparing and booking journal entries.
  • Ensuring integrity of key processes.
  • Supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Assisting with special projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue experience a plus.
  • Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge working with ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
  • Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills.
  • Salesforce and RevStream software knowledge are a plus.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Sigma, SQL and other data analytics procedures are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.
  • Concern for quality and deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus.
