Senior Revenue Accountant

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their collaborative team. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure accurate revenue and cost of goods sold through analytical procedures. The Senior Revenue Accountant will have end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures. They will also perform monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures and work closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatments.

• Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s order-to-cash cycle
• Have end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures
• Perform monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures
• Partner with the information technology department to build robust reporting
• Perform reviews over automated revenue allocations
• Perform manual revenue allocations, modifications, and prospective modification analysis as assigned
• Perform key SOX internal controls
• Prepare and book journal entries
• Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue a plus
• Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills
• Experience and knowledge working with ASC 606 compliance guidelines
• Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills
• Salesforce and RevStream software knowledge are a plus
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Sigma, SQL and other data analytics procedures are highly desirable
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
• Concern for quality and deadlines
• Ability to influence and build consensus
