Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their collaborative team. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure accurate revenue and cost of goods sold. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment that values agility and creative thinking.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s order-to-cash cycle.
  • Have end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures.
  • Partner with the information technology department to build robust reporting.
  • Perform reviews over automated revenue allocations.
  • Work closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatments.
  • Manage internal stakeholder expectations through monitoring and reporting key metrics.
  • Perform manual revenue allocations, modifications, and prospective modification analysis as assigned.
  • Perform key SOX internal controls.
  • Prepare and book journal entries.
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue a plus.
  • Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge working with ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
  • Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills.
  • Salesforce and RevStream software knowledge are a plus.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Sigma, SQL and other data analytics procedures are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.
  • Concern for quality and deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus.
