Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their collaborative team. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure accurate revenue and cost of goods sold. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment that values agility and creative thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s order-to-cash cycle.
- Have end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures.
- Perform monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures.
- Partner with the information technology department to build robust reporting.
- Perform reviews over automated revenue allocations.
- Work closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatments.
- Manage internal stakeholder expectations through monitoring and reporting key metrics.
- Perform manual revenue allocations, modifications, and prospective modification analysis as assigned.
- Perform key SOX internal controls.
- Prepare and book journal entries.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue a plus.
- Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge working with ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
- Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills.
- Salesforce and RevStream software knowledge are a plus.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Sigma, SQL and other data analytics procedures are highly desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.
- Concern for quality and deadlines.
- Ability to influence and build consensus.
