Job Description
Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to direct a work team in meeting production goals while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards. The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to production personnel, ensuring customer needs are met. This role involves fostering team member development and leading continuous improvement efforts to achieve a world-class manufacturing organization.
Role involves:
- Ensuring products meet internal goals and customer expectations.
- Promoting a safe work environment and enforcing safety policies.
- Anticipating and resolving production issues, delays, and equipment malfunctions.
- Participating in Kaizen activities and driving employee engagement.
- Implementing Lean Six Sigma and 5-S principles for continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with engineering to improve cost, quality, and work simplification.
- Assisting with RCAs and corrective actions.
- Communicating goals, status, and countermeasures through visual management and Tier Meetings.
- Ensuring accurate training and adherence to work instructions.
- Facilitating interdepartmental cooperation and providing team mentorship.
- Addressing engagement opportunities identified in Employee Engagement Surveys.
- Hiring, training, developing, and motivating team members.
- Developing and implementing projects to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to lead teams and communicate with senior leadership.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Completion of the Axon ATF training upon hire.
- Availability to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365.
