Senior Industrial Engineer (Onsite)

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Phoenix, Arizona. The Senior Industrial Engineer will be responsible for developing and enhancing manufacturing processes through the evaluation of workflows, equipment, and materials. They will lead strategic initiatives to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality across operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, logistics, and management teams to design and implement lean manufacturing solutions, streamline processes, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.What this role involves:

• Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades within manufacturing.
• Leading planning, design, set-up and optimization of manufacturing processes.
• Designing facility layouts working with cross functional teams.
• Conducting time studies, work measurement, and capacity analysis.
• Evaluating employees’ tasks and responsibilities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on new product introduction, process changes, and capital projects.
• Staying current with manufacturing best practices and emerging technologies.
• Training and mentoring junior engineers and production staff on best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and process optimization
• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.)
• Strong project management and leadership skills
