Job Description
Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead and achieve production targets while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Manager will play a key role in leading and achieving production targets while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires hands-on involvement to guide and support the operations team, ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will work to build a highly productive environment that fosters open communication, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture to drive world-class production. Additionally, this role involves developing team members, implementing best practices, and collaborating across departments to support new product introductions that align with the company's strategic goals.
What this role involves:
- Overseeing all aspects of production, including daily planning and meeting output targets.
- Managing costs and improving first-pass yield (FPY).
- Maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Recruiting, coaching, and developing teams.
- Driving compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Supporting new product launches and material introductions.
- Implementing high standards in process control and documentation.
- Leading the execution of departmental strategies.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborating across departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience in introducing new products and materials.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to excel under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Experience implementing Lean practices.
