Job Description
Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Technician Supervisor to lead and supervise Automation Technicians in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves overseeing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring high equipment performance and uptime. The Supervisor will interact with automated production machines, personnel, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise equipment maintenance to support manufacturing operations.
- Communicate equipment status to manufacturing line leads and supervisors.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
- Manage work orders in the CMMS.
- Determine equipment spare parts needs.
- Participate in process reviews.
- Engage in problem-solving and brainstorming.
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
- Lead coordination and technician support to address rework inventory backlog.
- Monitor and communicate First Pass Yield (FPY) limiters.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on rework activities.
- Track and manage rework turnaround times.
- Provide regular updates on rework backlog status.
- Ensure technicians are trained on rework procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- A GED or an Associate Degree in a related field
- Strong automation, mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supervisor in technical manufacturing working with complex equipment
- Experience working with automated assembly equipment is preferred
- Experience working with high volume automated systems is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
- Basic computer skills
