Job Description
Axon is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer I to join their team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is crucial in ensuring that every product and system is evaluated, tested, and validated to meet internal and customer expectations. The Hardware Validation Engineer I will develop Validation Test Procedures (VTP) and comprehensive test plans, collaborate with various teams, and evaluate products to identify and resolve issues.
Role involves:
- Developing comprehensive test plans for products.
- Incorporating Statistical Analysis into Validation Testing.
- Reviewing and providing input into System & Product Requirements.
- Testing product capabilities & features.
- Troubleshooting firmware/software or hardware issues at a system level.
- Participating in field testing of products.
- Providing status updates and final reporting of validation efforts.
- Designing and honing Validation Test Procedures.
- Executing all Validation Tests.
- Documenting and reporting all test status and results.
- Supporting Failure Analysis (FA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Working with external labs to coordinate required testing.
- Implementing and maintaining 5S Standard for lab organization and management.
- Developing customer usage models of all products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or associated discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with validation or qualification testing.
- Experience with identifying, reproducing, documenting, and reporting bugs or issues.
- Experience presenting test plan and requirements to stakeholders.
- Understanding of Product Development Life Cycle.
- Familiar with Project Management skill set.
- Familiar with Bug and Test Tracking Suites such as JIRA.
- Experience with manufacturing and assembly process.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent skills in MS Office products.
- Ability to influence multi-functional organizations.
