Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer II to join their Video Electrical Engineering team in Boston. This role involves hands-on design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electronics for Axon Video Products. The Senior Electrical Engineer will own the design, development, and verification of critical electronic circuits and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally. They will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to technologies that positively impact Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and their communities.
Role involves:
- Researching and developing circuit designs for in-vehicle camera systems and body-worn cameras.
- Designing embedded Mixed-Signal electronic circuits using OrCAD Schematic tools.
- Collaborating with PCB Design engineers to define printed circuit board layouts.
- Leading schematic and layout design inspections.
- Bringing up, characterizing, and debugging systems and circuits using lab tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- 9+ years of industry experience in electronics design.
- Expertise in high-speed circuit design and verification testing.
- Proficiency with schematic and layout integration.
- Experience with regulatory standards (FCC, CE, IEC, etc.).
