Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Privacy team. This role involves building software to support Axon's privacy mission and contributing to architectural decisions for privacy tools and services. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud services, privacy-enhancing technologies, and system design. They should also possess strong communication and mentoring skills.
What This Role Involves:
- Designing, building, and maintaining back-end systems and services for privacy and data compliance.
- Participating in design reviews and deciding among available technologies.
- Triaging product or system issues and debugging/tracking/resolving them.
- Mentoring engineers.
- Working with the latest open-source technologies.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Experience integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services.
- Experience with system to system communication implementation, high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration/inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up.
- Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, Python, or similar language.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Experience building data pipelines, especially for privacy process and workflows.
- Experience with implementing data anonymization/de-identification tools.
