(Mid/Senior) Mobile Android Engineer

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Mid/Senior Mobile Android Engineer to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The engineer will contribute to the design and development of mobile applications that support Axon's mission to Protect Life. The role involves working with a team of software engineers, product managers, and visual designers to create mobile experiences for existing products.

The Mobile Android Engineer will lead engineering architecture and design reviews, collaborate with the product design team, and drive the entire mobile software lifecycle. They will also interface with cloud services, mentor engineers, and enhance engineering processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading engineering architecture and design reviews.
• Collaborating with the product design team.
• Driving the entire mobile software lifecycle.
• Interfacing with cloud services.
• Mentoring engineers.
• Enhancing engineering processes.
• Building robust and reliable mission critical software.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of industry experience shipping Android applications to the Google Play Store.
• Experience with modern architecture (MVVM, MVI, etc) including unit testing
• Android experience with Retrofit, Coroutines, Okhttp, Hilt, Jetpack Compose
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Understanding and experience with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, Server-Sent-Events, Websockets (debugging with Wireshark or Charles a plus)
