Senior Engineer I - Android, Mobile Digital Evidence Management Software

Axon is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their team in Seattle, Washington. This role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of Axon's mobile applications, including Axon App, View, and Capture, which are crucial for digital evidence management. The Senior Engineer will collaborate within Mobile Scrum teams, ensuring sprint goals are met and aligning with other groups to deliver effective solutions. They will also set a high technical standard through code and design reviews, investigate optimal solutions to complex problems, and ensure the codebase meets stringent data privacy standards.

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain features within Axon App, Axon View, Axon Capture, and related shared libraries.
• Collaborate within the Mobile Scrum teams to ensure sprint goals are met.
• Set a high technical bar for the team through code and design reviews.
• Investigate optimal solutions to challenging problems.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of Android application development experience.
• Strong competence in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Android frameworks and technologies (networking, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, audio, video, and photo).
• Experience with modern architecture (MVVM, MVI, etc.), including unit, integration, and E2E testing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
