Job Description
Axon is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team in London. The Software Engineer II will be part of an engineering team that develops the software that enables the seamless integration of Axon's de-escalation tools, body-worn cameras, drones, evidence management and cloud. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact Axon's mission to protect life by delivering supporting features including device registration, inventory management, configuration and evidence sync, while also incorporating AI capabilities.
What this role involves:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
- Leading design discussions and providing insightful feedback in code and design reviews.
- Developing frontend components in alignment with best practices for web development.
- Tracking features, communicating status and risks, and participating in release management.
- Facilitating cross-team collaboration among engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Development experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C++, or similar.
- Experience with frontend technologies, especially React, and a solid understanding of general web development practices.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity, ArgoCD, etc.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
