Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Seattle, Washington. This role focuses on fullstack development for enterprise BWC cloud software improvements and other software improvements focused on the enterprise markets. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Software Engineering Manager.
  • Design, develop, test and maintain services, web interfaces and client applications
  • Write code that adheres to a high bar for quality, performance, security, and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews, assist in developing specifications and design reviews
  • Track the features being delivered, clearly communicate status and risks to delivery
  • Participate in regular release management for services and client applications
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration among engineers and contribute to the broader community of Axon engineers
  • Improve the developer experience and productivity
  • Troubleshooting production Issues
  • Advance and mentor other engineers
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience designing and delivering cloud-based systems for high availability, reliability, security, and performance
  • 2+ years of experience with one backend language (such as Java, Scala, Go, c#, C++, or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience in frontend technologies (such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks, or similar)
  • Experience with Redux, MobX, NgRx, or other state management libraries
  • Experience applying AI or machine learning technologies—particularly in advanced data or language processing—to drive meaningful product or business outcomes
  • Experience with databases, such as MySQL or Cassandra
  • Experience using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity, ArgoCD, etc
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
