Job Description
Axon is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Boston, MA. This role involves delivering solutions to real-time problems encountered by mission-critical cloud-native services and ensuring high quality and reliability for customers. The engineer will collaborate with the SRE division and the broader engineering organization to enable continuous feature delivery.

What This Role Involves:
  • Building foundational platforms and tools for rapid, consistent, and secure service provisioning.
  • Exemplifying cloud-native site reliability best practices.
  • Writing performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
  • Debugging problems in cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Influencing and educating the engineering organization on architectural patterns.
  • Providing robust documentation for self-service.
  • Taking calculated risks and championing new ideas.

What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
  • Experience operating in Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar.
  • Experience using managed languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar.
  • Experience utilizing CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, and releases.
  • Experience using observability tools such as APM, logging, and metrics to assist with debugging issues.
  • Experience designing tooling to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
  • Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
  • Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.
  • Must be a US Citizen
