Job Description
Cloud Chamber is seeking a talented Senior Environment Artist to create rich and detailed 3D environments. The Senior Environment Artist will design, plan, specify, coordinate, and execute a vision in an organized and predictable manner. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to build set pieces and resources, create and compose modular kits to build credible and detailed game spaces, and raise the level of visual excellence. The mission is to bring to life and advance the creative vision of the fantastic world of BioShock.Role involves:
- Collaborating with level design, modeling, narrative, concept, combat, and cinematics teams.
- Creating credible, functional, and visually strong environments from scratch.
- Assuming creative, technical, and production responsibility for environments.
- Contributing to the artistic vision of the space.
- Creating visual reference environments and level composition.
- Developing world-building and modeling processes.
- Effectively communicating with team members, production, and management.
Requirements:
- Shipped at least one AAA title in 3D (FPS or third person, with Unreal 4 or Unreal 5).
- Experience working with the Unreal 5 engine.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams on collective missions.
- Bachelor's degree in Art or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent sense of composition, contrast, color, and detail.
- Proficient in creating modular kits and proxy models for high-quality stylized environments.
- Solid understanding of architecture, spatial design, industrial design.
- Experience in creating and maintaining element libraries organized by theme and function.
- Strong organizational skills with a critical sense of detail.
- Passionate about their art and willing to guide junior artists.
