Engineering Manager - Chat/ML

Cleo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop engineers across its Chat and Machine Learning-focused squads. This individual will oversee the technical delivery of exceptional products, focusing on integrating cutting-edge ML solutions and enhancing conversational AI capabilities. The role involves collaborating with product, data, and design teams to deliver high-quality, impactful user experiences. A basic understanding of how engineering and machine learning integrate is essential.

• Managing and growing multiple squads, including team leads and engineers.
• Collaborating on technical roadmaps and reviewing designs.
• Working with product and data teams to define and deliver squad goals.
• Developing team members into more senior positions.
• Leading headcount planning, recruiting, and onboarding.
• Identifying and implementing improvements in processes and tools.

• Previous experience as a hands-on developer.
• Experience with a Ruby on Rails stack is preferred.
• Understanding of ML and chat technologies.
