Cleo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop engineers across its Chat and Machine Learning-focused squads. This individual will oversee the technical delivery of exceptional products, focusing on integrating cutting-edge ML solutions and enhancing conversational AI capabilities. The role involves collaborating with product, data, and design teams to deliver high-quality, impactful user experiences. A basic understanding of how engineering and machine learning integrate is essential.
- Managing and growing multiple squads, including team leads and engineers.
- Collaborating on technical roadmaps and reviewing designs.
- Working with product and data teams to define and deliver squad goals.
- Developing team members into more senior positions.
- Leading headcount planning, recruiting, and onboarding.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in processes and tools.
- People-first leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a hands-on developer.
- Experience with a Ruby on Rails stack is preferred.
- Understanding of ML and chat technologies.
- Strong communication skills.
