Aetion, a leading science-driven technology company specializing in real-world evidence for healthcare solutions, is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Barcelona. The successful candidate will be a critical and senior member of Aetion’s engineering organization, instrumental in innovating and operating with efficiency and maturity. They will own Aetion’s cloud-based, containerized infrastructure managed through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting day-to-day operations and leading engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform delivery and production support tasks.
  • Streamline automation and processes to improve operational maturity and efficiency.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain Aetion’s infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain Aetion’s development and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and effective production support.
  • Develop automation frameworks to support other development teams.
  • Contribute to complex engineering projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or developing distributed systems with strong knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with proficiency at least in Python or Java.
  • 5+ years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & CI/CD Tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, or GitHub Actions (GHA).
  • 7+ years with cloud platforms (AWS required, GCP nice to have).
  • 5+ years with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with security engineering, SQL databases, big data platforms, and Linux systems.
  • Strong English language skills.
