Job Description
Signify Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their R&D technology center in Galway, Ireland. This role involves transforming data into critical insights for core and new products, contributing to the company's mission of transforming healthcare through technology and data-driven solutions. The Senior Data Scientist will report to the Director of Data Science and will be responsible for collecting, preparing, and analyzing data, creating and evaluating models, and delivering solutions based on these models. This position is open to hybrid candidates who can be in the Galway office two days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Mine and analyze data using statistical methods.
  • Research and develop statistical learning models.
  • Translate analytic insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Build predictive machine learning models.
  • Provide model recommendations based on performance.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior data science teammates.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5-7 years of professional data scientist experience.
  • Solid understanding of product architecture and data flow patterns.
  • Proficient in Python & SQL.
  • Experience in building cloud native analytical solutions.
  • Experience in designing/developing/deploying machine learning models.
  • Experience working with sensitive healthcare data.
