IC4 – Sr Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist will play a crucial role in the Decision Science team, leveraging their experience to analyze complex data, develop advanced machine learning models, and drive strategic, data-driven decision-making. They will work under the direct supervision of the Lead Data Scientist and may guide junior and mid-level data scientists.

The Senior Data Scientist will lead projects aimed at improving organizational efficiency, identifying growth opportunities, and minimizing risks using machine learning. The goal is to utilize advanced data science methodologies and tools to solve complex problems, generate valuable insights, improve decision-making processes, and drive innovation.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing data science projects from ideation to deployment.
• Gathering, cleansing, and preprocessing large and complex datasets.
• Conducting in-depth exploratory data analysis.
• Performing advanced statistical analyses.
• Creating, selecting, and transforming features from raw data.
• Developing, optimizing, and implementing advanced machine learning models.
• Evaluating models using techniques such as cross-validation.
• Deploying models into production environments and monitoring their performance.
• Mentoring junior and mid-level data scientists.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Preparing detailed documentation of data analysis processes and results.
• Keeping abreast of emerging trends in data science.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4-6 years in data science, statistics, programming, or related fields.
• Experience with GEN AI
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience in advanced statistical techniques.
• Extensive experience in developing, fine-tuning, and deploying machine learning models.
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skills in data visualization.
• Substantial understanding of the industry.
• Understanding of ethical considerations in data science.
