Job Description
BEAM is seeking an experienced educator for the Senior Faculty role at BEAM Discovery. The role involves teaching engaging math classes and leading collaboration spaces to coach faculty and junior faculty. The Senior Faculty will model BEAM’s values and create a supportive environment for students and educators.
Role involves:
- Teaching math classes using pre-made lesson resources.
- Leading problem-solving sessions.
- Facilitating collaboration spaces to improve teaching practices.
- Maintaining a positive camp environment.
- Attending staff meetings and pre-camp training.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of classroom leadership experience.
- 2+ years of coaching or mentoring experience.
- Commitment to equity and inclusive classrooms.
- Student-centered teaching approach.
- Familiarity with middle school math concepts.
- Ability to work on-site in NYC or LA.
- Authorized to work in the US.
