Job Description
BEAM is seeking a Site Director for its Discovery summer programs in New York City or Los Angeles. The Site Director will work closely with the Associate Site Director, Director of Student Life, Academic Director, and Guidance Counselor to manage a team of counselors and faculty. This role involves leading the preparation, implementation, and smooth operation of the summer program, ensuring academic success and a positive camp environment for students.
Role Involves:
- Completing Site Director Management Training
- Creating a site-specific Leadership Handbook
- Supporting the final selection of the site leadership team
- Attending relevant orientations and submitting required paperwork
- Facilitating team-building activities and training modules
- Overseeing daily operations and managing staff coordination
- Providing coaching feedback to faculty
- Handling student behavior situations and following up with families
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and providing feedback
- A passion for creating inclusive classrooms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage conflicts and make timely decisions
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks
- Solid understanding of Enrichment math concepts
- Flexibility to adjust plans based on feedback and challenges
