Life360 is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join their team. This role involves becoming an expert in technologies supporting mapping, communication, driving, and safety features. The ideal candidate will be involved in architecting, designing, and leading the development of the next generation of systems and features.Life360 is a remote-first company, offering a remote work environment for all employees.What this role involves:

• Working on a cross-functional team with Product, Design, Marketing & Data Science
• Developing and maintaining networking, data and authorization frameworks
• Building and maintaining high-throughput systems that emit meta and sensor data to Kafka streams
• Participating in interviewing potential candidates and improving the candidate experience

What Life360 is looking for:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Java/Kotlin
• Gradle, Android Studio knowledge
• Experience working on a commercial app
• Passionate for technology and curiosity about Android features
• Comfortable with multiple areas of the Android SDK
• Capable of operating autonomously
• Effective communication skills
