QA Automation Engineer II, AIOps

Job Description

SoundHound AI is seeking a QA Automation Engineer II to join their AIOps Engineering organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products. The engineer will design and implement test automation strategies, aligning with the objectives of enhancing product stability and customer satisfaction.

Role involves:
• Designing, developing, and enhancing test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Partnering with developers and product owners to define test requirements.
• Performing UI and API testing using tools like Playwright.
• Utilizing tools like JMeter to assess system performance.
• Contributing to Agile workflows and continuous testing practices.
• Identifying and resolving potential defects early in the development cycle.
• Creating detailed test plans and communicating issues to stakeholders.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in software/product quality testing.
• 3+ years of experience in building and enhancing test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript (1+ years).
• Proficiency in automated testing tools/frameworks like Playwright.
• Experience with API testing and load testing tools such as JMeter.
• Fluent English with strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Playwright and familiarity with jBehave and Java.
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies, DevOps, and continuous testing practices.
• Understanding of the ITIL framework and IT Service Management.
