Job Description

Enveritas is seeking a Project Associate to support its operations and data analysis, focusing on the Nespresso project. This role involves coordinating verification activities, ensuring data quality, and creating client deliverables. The Project Associate will contribute to strategic development and stakeholder engagement.

Enveritas is a non-profit organization committed to building solutions for smallholder coffee farmers, offering a Responsible Sourcing platform to help companies meet sustainability targets. The company operates in a remote-first environment with hubs in various locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth data analysis using Excel and Python.
  • Drafting and reviewing country verification reports and global reports for Nespresso.
  • Developing clear and visually compelling charts and tables using Datawrapper.
  • Analyzing current data quality protocols and making adjustments to improve processes.
  • Participating in strategic planning sessions to strengthen Enveritas’ partnership with Nespresso.
  • Driving effective knowledge management practices.
  • Supporting a review of internal and external standards related to Nespresso.
  • Participating in field visits to coffee farming communities.
  • Supporting global training material updates.
  • Supporting country teams to produce country harvest reports.
  • Supporting the development of ad hoc requests from other clients as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis, reporting and research, consulting, the coffee sector, international development, or sustainable agriculture.
  • Strong analytical competencies and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs applications.
  • Familiarity with quantitative data collection software/platforms; proficiency in Python or other programming languages preferred.
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree related to development studies, economics, business, statistics, plant science, forestry, or other relevant discipline.
  • Availability for regular travel - up to 30% of time - to coffee origins in the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
