Job Description
The Student Hotel is seeking a Head Chef to lead kitchen operations for their newly branded F&B concept in Berlin. The Head Chef will be responsible for building the reputation of the kitchen, setting culinary standards, and managing a team of chefs. This role involves collaborating with the F&B Director on menu development, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining relationships with food suppliers.
  • Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
  • Setting and maintaining the quality standard for the kitchen team
  • Managing, training and recruiting a brigade of chefs
  • Maintaining relationships with food suppliers
  • Working closely with the Restaurant Manager
  • At least 5 years of relevant management experience in various kitchens
  • Excellent knowledge and passion for the local cuisine
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Food Safety Level 3 or an equivalent
  • Experience in coaching and educating interns
  • Legally allowed to work in Germany
