Job Description
The Student Hotel is seeking a Head Chef to lead kitchen operations for their newly branded F&B concept in Berlin. The Head Chef will be responsible for building the reputation of the kitchen, setting culinary standards, and managing a team of chefs. This role involves collaborating with the F&B Director on menu development, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining relationships with food suppliers.
- Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
- Setting and maintaining the quality standard for the kitchen team
- Managing, training and recruiting a brigade of chefs
- Maintaining relationships with food suppliers
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager
- At least 5 years of relevant management experience in various kitchens
- Excellent knowledge and passion for the local cuisine
- Excellent planning skills
- Fluent in English and German
- Food Safety Level 3 or an equivalent
- Experience in coaching and educating interns
- Legally allowed to work in Germany
