The Staff Backend Engineer will be a Staff Individual Contributor (IC) within a cross-functional product squad.
What this role involves:
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and analysts to develop features that enhance users' financial health.
- Providing technical insight into upcoming work and leading delivery.
- Mentoring colleagues and supporting their development.
- Working on a Ruby on Rails monolith, building data models, APIs, and business logic services.
- Delivering work using agile methodologies and tools such as tests and feature flags.
- Analyzing data to identify problems and generate new ideas.
- Contributing to cross-cutting concerns that improve engineering efforts.
- Participating in product ideation, user research, and design reviews.
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years industry experience of using Ruby on Rails.
- Passionate about making a positive difference in society.
