Galaxy is seeking a Database Administrator/Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring data accessibility, security, and reliability for stakeholders.
Role involves:
- Proactively managing and maintaining data systems.
- Ensuring continuous operation of data systems through troubleshooting and remedial actions.
- Implementing and enforcing data-related policies and procedures.
- Developing services, scripts, and pipelines to facilitate data access.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing production databases.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals (CI/CD, Git, Linux/UNIX).
- Strong knowledge of data structures and optimization techniques.
- Strong knowledge in SQL and expertise in at least one programming language (preferably Python).
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Experience in utilizing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
