Job Description
Wayve is seeking a Field Engineer in Japan to diagnose and resolve vehicle software and hardware issues, ensuring fleet operational efficiency. This role involves rapid fault triage and adherence to safety protocols, working closely with engineers and global teams. The Field Engineer will contribute to process refinement and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Role Involves:
- Performing on-site fault triage and resolution.
- Following structured fault diagnosis and repair protocols.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Responding rapidly to issues.
- Maintaining clear communication with the Field Engineering Lead.
- Participating in on-call rotations.
- Adhering to strict safety and compliance protocols.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software, and hardware fault triage.
- Experience in fleet operations, automotive systems, or ADAS technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Capable of working closely with global teams.
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and incident management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software monitoring platforms, and ticketing systems like JIRA.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology and on-road testing requirements is advantageous.
