Job Description

Global Atlantic Financial Group is seeking an Associate for their Portfolio Management & Trading Team in New York. The role involves providing analytical support for the management and optimization of in-force portfolios, focusing on asset allocation and portfolio construction. The Associate will collaborate with various teams to integrate analytical output into liquidity, performance attribution, and portfolio surveillance processes. They will also work with IT, Analytics, and Investment Operations teams to ensure data integrity for portfolio management attributes.Responsibilities include monitoring risk, liquidity, and trading activities, assisting with reporting of holdings in Bermuda registered entities, tracking new investments, and building capital market data surveillance for liquid assets. The Associate will also support the Structured Credit Portfolio Manager in reporting and surveillance of Structured Product holdings.

• Provide analytical support for portfolio management and optimization.
• Integrate analytical output into liquidity, performance attribution, and portfolio surveillance.
• Ensure data integrity for portfolio management attributes.
• Monitor risk, liquidity, and trading activities.
• Assist with reporting of holdings and building capital market data surveillance.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial markets, portfolio construction, and asset management. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required, with familiarity in Python/SQL being a plus. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of quantitative concepts and fixed income math, be energetic, inquisitive, and team-oriented, with excellent technical and communication skills. Progress towards CFA designation and knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements are also beneficial.

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in financial markets, portfolio construction, and asset management
• Strong background in both Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with programming languages (Python / SQL) a plus
• Familiarity with quantitative concepts and fixed income math
• Energetic, inquisitive, and an initiative to take on high impact projects
• Highly professional and team oriented; organized with acute attention to detail
• Strong balance of technical and communication skills
• Progress towards CFA designation a plus
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements a plus
