Canonical, a leading open-source software provider, is seeking a Graduate Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse transactional matters within the technology and enterprise software sectors, including contracts related to global employment, contracting, and partnerships.Canonical is looking for a candidate with a strong academic record and commercial judgment. The ideal candidate should be organized, efficient, and capable of providing high-quality legal and commercial advice. This is a remote position based in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or the Americas, with the option of working from the London office.Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with customers and vendors globally.
• Providing legal support to internal clients across the company.
• Interfacing with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives.
• Utilizing the contract management system to maintain accurate data.
• Working with local counsel to seek and implement advice.

Requirements:

• Exceptional academic track record.
• A degree in law, JD, or equivalent, and an active license to practice law or current progress towards that.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Appreciation of diversity and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel twice a year for company events.
