Senior Technical Writer

This job posting is for a Senior Technical Writer position at Pure Storage, a company that is reshaping the data storage industry. The Senior Technical Writer will work with a globally distributed team to research, write, edit, and maintain software documentation and release notes. Responsibilities:

• Work with technical teams to research, write, edit, and maintain software documentation and release notes.
• Work with a globally distributed team.
• Attend daily or weekly meetings and syncs.
• Follow a style guide to write consistently and appropriately.
• Review colleagues’ writing.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in technical writing for software
• Demonstrated experience writing software documentation in a docs-as-code approach
• Exemplary writing and editing skills with an emphasis on writing for a global audience of developers
• Hands on experience with Linux command-line applications, Git, HTML, CSS, JS
• Experience with containerization: kubernetes, Docker (Preferred)
• Experience with cloud services, virtualization, networking (Preferred)
• Experience in "Storage Virtualization" and knowledge of storage technologies such as Block devices, NFS, File System, Object Storage (Preferred)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and comfortable working in sprints (Preferred)
• Markup languages: Markdown, ASCIIdoc (Preferred)
