Information Security Analyst - Seville.

Appian is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their Security Operations team in Seville, Spain. This role involves monitoring and analyzing security alerts, evaluating emerging threats, responding to cyber threats, and adhering to industry regulations. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with continuous monitoring activities.
• Collaborating with teams to detect threats and mitigations.
• Supporting security reviews, audits, and control evaluations.
• Participating in incident reporting and investigation.
• Conducting risk analysis and providing recommendations.
• Supporting information security projects.
• Coordinating with Engineering teams on security issues.
• Participating in blue-team and red-team activities.
• Staying up to date on security risks and trends.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals and internet protocols.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
• Proficient in querying large datasets using SQL or other big data query languages.
• Solid understanding of operating systems concepts.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework or Cyber Kill Chain.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence sources and adversary tactics.
• Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures and layer security responsibilities.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS), containers, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps principles.
