Job Description
Appian is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to join their Customer Success team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will combine a passion for technology with strategic problem-solving skills. Appian's Customer Success team focuses on delivering mission-critical business impact quickly, working with partners and customers to bring their ideas to life. This role offers support and growth opportunities within the consulting field.

The Role Involves:
  • Leading projects and working throughout the entire project life-cycle.
  • Defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform.
  • Working within an agile environment to understand client’s business processes and technical needs.
  • Launching new relational data models in production.
  • Developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
  • Partnering with Appian Architects and Technical Delivery Managers.
  • Leading/mentoring consultants through fast-paced software implementations.
  • Collaborating with client’s technical teams and business users.
  • Driving adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient with building process applications.

Requirements:
  • Passion for mentoring/developing others and experience leading teams through post-sale software implementation.
  • Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, passion for technology and continuous learning.
  • History of success on cross-functional teams; experience building products using agile methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, experience working with relational databases and database design/data modeling, and SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices; integrations experience using APIs such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers is preferred.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with 8+ years of hands-on Appian technical experience.
  • B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field/degree.
  • Appian Lead Developer certified.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagements.
