Job Description
Appian is seeking a Quality Engineer II to ensure the quality of its AI-driven platform. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards through manual and automated testing, focusing on AI features. The role involves collaborating with agile teams, analyzing requirements, and contributing to release activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manually test and troubleshoot new features, focusing on AI-powered functionalities.
- Develop and maintain automated test code using Java, Python, and Selenium.
- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved, including AI-based features.
- Analyze and troubleshoot software defects, contributing to detailed documentation.
- Build and enhance test artifacts for efficient reuse, including test data and tools for AI feature testing.
- Collaborate with agile team members to define and review acceptance criteria.
- Participate in critical release activities across all platforms.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all work products.
- Apply advanced software testing design techniques.
- Systematically analyze requirements to provide effective input into engineering activities.
- Effectively identify and resolve root causes of leaked defects.
- Lead or participate in release management activities.
- Contribute to software performance analysis and system tuning.
- Build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and diagnose incidents using tracing, alerting, and log analysis.
- Contribute to Appian's long-term documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in quality, testing, performance, or software engineering.
- Proven experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with web, Android, and iOS platform testing.
- Understanding of AI concepts and a willingness to learn AI testing methodologies.
