Appian is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to join their dynamic team in Austin, Texas. This role is pivotal in redefining the company's approach to pre-sales and sales engineering, focusing on delivering value to customers through creative storytelling, technical solutioning, and business consulting. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, sales, product, marketing, and company leadership.

Role involves:
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Strategically problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
  • Conveying customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.

Requirements:
  • Technical depth and experience with modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, etc.).
  • Experience in enterprise software sales (BPM, Low Code Platforms, or Application Development Platform preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with production environments (application servers, web servers, databases).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer OR 6+ years in a client-facing Professional Services/Consulting role involving sales scenarios.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to customer locations.
