Appian is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to join their team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter passionate about Appian's mission and redefining the pre-sales/sales engineering profession. This role involves creative storytelling, technical solutioning, and business consulting to help customers understand the value of Appian's technology.Appian's Solutions Consultants serve as trusted advisors to customers, partners, sales, product, marketing, and company leadership.Responsibilities:
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Strategically problem-solve and think outside the box.
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Provide strong verbal and written communication, customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Technical depth to respond to all functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Experience in a modern programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.).
  • Experience in enterprise software sales (BPM, Low Code Platforms, or Application Development Platform preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with production environments (application servers, web servers, databases).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years as a successful Pre-Sales Engineer OR 6+ years in a client-facing Professional Services/Consulting role involving sales scenarios.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to customer locations.
