What this role involves:
  • Working within a cross-functional product squad to develop features enhancing users' financial health.
  • Collaborating with senior peers, providing technical insights, and leading delivery.
  • Mentoring colleagues and supporting their development.
  • Building data models, APIs, and business logic services on the Ruby on Rails monolith.
  • Delivering work using agile methodologies, tests, observability, AB-tests, and feature flags.
  • Analysing data to identify problems and generate new ideas.
  • Supporting colleagues through in-hours support and optionally joining the compensated out-of-hours on-call rotation.
  • Contributing to cross-cutting concerns and improving engineering efforts.
  • Participating in product ideation, user research, and design reviews.

Requirements:
  • Passionate about improving financial health.
  • Aligned with Cleo's company values and engineering principles.
  • 5+ years' industry experience using Ruby on Rails.
