Lead Java Engineer - Trade Booking

Job Description

Capco Poland is seeking a Lead Java Engineer to join an international team working for a major global bank. The candidate will be instrumental in building Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) capabilities during the migration from legacy platforms. This role involves a complex, long-term project with high visibility and demanding timelines.

The Lead Java Engineer will be responsible for understanding requirements, designing solutions, and contributing to delivery. They will partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions, manage resource usage, and apply their experience in financial markets electronic trade capture and booking.

Role involves:

• Proactively understanding requirements and contributing to delivery.
• Partnering with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
• Managing resource usage effectively.
• Building services with an API-first approach.
• Implementing safe defensive coding and access control.
• Supporting database integration/migration.
• Providing Production L3 support.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in back-end software engineering with Java.
• Proficiency with database integration tools (postgres/mongo), caching (hazelcast), clickhouse, communication (solace), security (hashicorp, SSO tokens, Kong integration).
• Familiarity with Financial Markets specifications and regulations.
• Experience in ETD / Derivatives / Murex.
• Experience of Enrichment / Validation / Transformation of data in context of trade bookings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
