Truecaller is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of Android engineers in Stockholm, Sweden. The company aims to make communication smarter and safer, providing services that protect users from fraud and unwanted communication. As an Engineering Manager, the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations, strategic technical initiatives, and shaping the team's technical and product direction. They will guide the engineering team through the development and implementation of new solutions.

Role Involves:

• Managing and leading the team to build the product efficiently.
• Influencing product priorities and scope.
• Communicating complex decisions clearly.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers.
• Establishing best practices across the engineering team.
• Driving project delivery and aligning with stakeholders.
• Balancing strategic leadership with system designs and reviews.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
• Building strong relationships within the team and with external partners.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or technical leader.
• 10+ years of experience in Android development.
• Experience with coaching, mentoring, or managing teams of 5+ engineers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Passion for enhancing user experiences and contributing to product strategy.
• Solid understanding of the Android SDK.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
