Analyst (Risk Arb)

Job Description

Maven, a proprietary trading company established in 2011, is seeking an Equities Analyst to join its Hong Kong-based investment team. The ideal candidate will provide clear valuation analysis, incorporating a fundamental understanding of the company and its industry, while also considering broader market dynamics.

The Analyst will be expected to form independent opinions based on information from various sources, including corporates and sell-side analysts.

What this role involves:

• Preparing for and attending corporate and analyst meetings.
• Analyzing companies and building financial models.
• Enhancing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience covering equity research in Asia within a buyside or sellside environment.
• Strong research acumen, with excellent modelling and valuation skills.
• Proven ability to generate a high throughput of valuation views.
• High-level of attention-to-detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Japanese language skills highly desirable.
